It  takes a great deal of time, effort and dedication to make it to the USA Nationals.  Most of us will never even enter a regional championship (a prerequisit ) or make a score of 270, another requirement.   Every dog has good and bad days.  Ule did not perform in Obedience as well as she usually does and the score reflects that.  Tracking is her strongest phase and that was reflected in the score, too___ 100 points.

The tracking was on  dirt, especially difficult if one does not live in an area where the dog can be prepared for tracking on dirt, when it is used to grass or pasture.   Handlers' nerves don't help, either.  So, Juneau did not have his best day.

Schutzhund is a humbling sport.  It is the thing that taught me that failure is NOT fatal.   Ravi and Juneau will be back on the Uiversal Sieger trail again as more seasoned competitors.

It was a pleasure and a privilege to meet Ravi and Juneau in Texas  They are to be commended for their accomplishment in getting to the USA Nationals.  Looking forward to seeing them in Nashville in the spring.

WAYTAGO Karen and Ule! 100 pts. in A is fantastic!

I am sorry to note that Ravi and Juneau had some problem on the track. Its very difficult to find decent dirt tracking to practice4 here in the East, and afternoon tracks in the West can be very, very dry, not hold scent so well, especially if there's a stiff breeze.  We learn a lot more from failing than we do from winning. I'm sure we'll be seeing a lot more from that special team in future.

The Nationals in the bag, we can all start plotting our journey to the North American next spring. Congratulations to all who proudly exhibited their dogs in Texas this weekend. It takes a lot of hard work just to get there and a barrel of guts to step on the field in such a prestigious event, especially the first couple of times!

Congratulation to Karen and Ule.  Karen has worked very hard and has done a great job with Ule.  A very deserving pair.

What an exciting Nationals with two HOT dogs in the running for Universal.  Ravi, Karen and their dogs have done much for the sport in this country.  My best wishes go out to both of them and their wonderful dogs.  A tremendous achievement in qualifying to attend the Nationals alone.  Simply wonderful!  Good luck to all!

Actuall only one of the two dogs was HOT.  That would be Juneau.

Congrats to both particitpants.

I look forward to seeing them compete again in the future.
