Hodie, I remember reading here about the abuse case you mention. Yes, those photos above are shocking and the media will keep this case before the public eye. At least we can hope so.  And we can hope the judge in this case gives the naximum penalty - which won't be enough.

I'm sure you are a honest and ethical person and dog trainer. Unfortunately not all trainers are like you. I hope people start realizing that they shouldn't and can't trust just anyone to train their dog. I can tell you that nobody would put me off from seeing a dog I left with them. Of course, I wouldn't send a dog off for training anyway. Part of the fun of having a dog is training it.

The USA seems to be even more weak and spineless than the AKC and a great deal less transparent. Every month in the AKC Gazette I read about people who have been banned for life because of a cruelty to animals conviction or a serious breeder violation. If I have the time and am bored, I can even read AKC meeting minutes. I've never seen anything like this for USA.  The USA would improve their credibility if they started taking cruelty cases seriously and banning a member upon conviction in a court of law. I don't know if the asshole in question here was a USA member, but if he is his membership should be revoked upon conviction. Any way this scumbag can be prevented from having anything to do with dogs in the future should be used.

4pack

Oh man! There is just no excuse for that. Times are tuff but I would send my dog to the pound or shoot it even before I left it to rot like that. Piles of shit, dead dogs obviously weeks old dried up and bones, can't pick up the crap, plastic bag the dogs? WTF, it's like they just forgot the dogs were out back. Sell your kennels for food $, give the dogs away, anything, just either beg borrow and steal to feed them or give them away to someone able to feed them.

Just goes to show you no matter how nice looking or profesional the web-site, you just don't know unless you go there and look for yourself.

This type of shit pisses me the fuck off!!! No excuse!! Brent I am a believer what goes around comes around or "What goes over the old devils back will sure to come to his belly"...just as "Water seeking its own level".But...when it comes to animals suffering..forget it!..the elderly etc.Horses...Those dogs would have stood a chance running wild. Can you just imagine how they suffered?Hmm..There was a dog in another country that was bought by an artist from some starving children. The dog was cross-tied with no food nor water at an elite Art gathering. The dog became art in watching it die. This kennel raid is just the tip of the iceburg of what is going on.There are no substancial laws protecting the individuals. And Hodie even if there were the prisons in the USA are so filled up with gangs...many types.Hell there is no tracking on pedifiles(sp) nor the great amount of serial killers.Animals are the least of the worries..They have become plastic to the majority. The sad thing is that they have become plastic to their owners. The competing organizations whether work or show will not step in as this would be far too much time and money in their political world.I condemn any owner First by trusting a training/boarding etc etc and not checking up very often..Not by phone!! to see how the individual is doing. This includes The elderly humans...horses etc etc.It was very apparent that some individuals were very healthy in the pictures..Probably because the pups from this breed would sell easily. The whole thing just makes me sick.Just my two cents

The man who starved the dogs to death in OH had his property vandalized while he was under arrest. What a shame, huh? They spray painted Killer and “I kill dogs” all over his place. Here is the news story:

Here's the latest update.....hmmmmm~wonder who did this to his property to tell people the scum that he really is! "What goes around~comes around" not nearly enough..not nearly enough!  ~Gail~

Hodie is right, these horrors happen all the time and people just keep getting away with it. Animal cruelty isn't taken seriously by the courts. There was a horrible case in Ohio where a breeder starved Collies to death and got away with it. The info is at

http://www.bannetstane.co.uk/how_did_this_happen.htm

I *warn* you, the photos at this one will haunt you forever. So think twice before you look.

The Collie horror happened in 1996, and nothing has changed.

No, nothing has changed and nothing will. Just go to the last link provided about the vandalism. It is already reported that 15 of the orginal 19 charges were dismissed because Animal Charity entered the property unlawfully.

This is what law enforcement can describe as extremely frustrating: People act emotionally at crime scenes and then charges are dismissed because it violates the person's rights. At the end, he will walk with just a misdeamonr" conviction of animal cruelty. Truly disheartening!

Canine orgnizations do not have any means to do something about it, other than banning this person for life. I know tht the AKC and the SV has done so and will do so i nthe future, but has USA ever banned anybody for that reason?

WOW, I could not believe what I saw in either case. Words are just not going to say truely how I feel. Those poor animals I don't see any reason in letting them die that way when they could of been place in homes or the pound at least or  even put down would of been better. How does one watch, listen and know that animals are dying and do nothing about it? This world is just going to hell in a hand bag very fast .

Words cant describe how I feel about people like this, its a pity the vandals didnt do more than spray paint and break a few windows, maybe someone could place him in one of his keenels for several weeks without food or water.
