By the way, whether he thought of his children or not, that still doesn't justify punishing them for their father's actions.

Hodie, AKC does not recognize American Pit Bull Terriers (APBT) as a breed. So they would not be able to suspend Vick.

I know United Kennel Club (UKC), Continental Kennel Club (CKC), United Canine Association (UCA), and American Dog Breeders Association (ADBA) all recognize the APBT

Pretty much every breed registration in the U.S except AKC recognizes the breed.

I know this is a subject for another thread

"What hope can there be for any one who has served time to get out from prison and try to have any sort of a life and a job to see the vitriol and hatred another prisoner is met with?

He got caught, he got punished, he served his punishment, and now he's out. If after his probation is over he applies to have a dog, I hope he gets one."

Well, then, I guess you wouldn't have any issue with a convicted child molester babysitting for your kids either; huh?  I mean, if he's served his time and whatnot, how is he supposed to prove that he's reformed if all he sees is "vitriol and hatred" every time some kid sits on his lap?

I'd let vick watch my dog before I let Rothlisberger watch my daughter.

"Wow a dog fighter getting put in the same sentence as a child sex predator! I don't codone it but let's keep it in perspective."

It is in perspective; lack of empathy is lack of empathy.

My analogy was meant as personal perspective. Hurt kids, you shouldnt be allowed to be around them. Drive drunk, you shouldn't be allowed behind the wheel. Hurt animals, you shouldnt be around them, either. As for the kids being "punished"? Cry me a freakin' river, I bet they get anything else they want. I never had a dog growing up, it was one of the first things I did when I turned 18. So can they.

I'll use your analogies! Can the child of a drunk driver drive? Can the child of a child abuser have friends? Did Mrs. Vick do anything wrong that she and her kids cannot have a dog? Let me give you a better analogy. Let's say I beat my wife. I go to jail for 60 days. I get out and we make-up. We stay together. Can she go purchase a gun?

They can drive when they turn 16. And they can have a dog when they grow up, too and are out the private school they go to. Please, your reasoning becomes thin.

edit: and since when is a kid not being able to have everything they want "punishment'? All over the world children want things they can't have, often because of various decisions made by their parents. I didn't finish college, instead became a dog trainer, so no, I can't buy my a daughter a sparkly new car when she turns 16 like some the kids at her high school will get. Would you call that "punishent for (her) parents actions" because she can't have what she wants?
