RLHAR

No.

I honestly did not have a horse in this race until Marjorie started to blame the admins for enforcing TOS on this board.   That is what I felt was grossly unfair.

OIC, RLHAR...   because you didnt like that I felt it was wrong to remove something that was public, anyway,  that gives you the right to put this ffailure on MY head, when the dogs would have been safe in rescue a few hours later, incuding the puppies being hung by their necks?  I  care very deeply about this breed, and sadly, because I am in NY and these pups were in Ca, I did what I did to get them out of an abusive situation as quickly as I could. In case you didnt notice, momma was starving, one set of pups had their ears cut off by what would appear to be a scissor, and the other ones were no more than commodities, by the way they were being displayed. There was no time for this to be done in private- facebook was the quickest way to reach everyone at one time, and there was NO time to waste! If you have a problem with me questioning a Tos policy, thats a far cry from saying what happened with the pups was MY fault. I didnt sleep for 2 nights silently working on this and out of desperation, I went to all my friends on facebook and within an hour, we had a working plan to get the dogs to safety. I care very deeply  for animals, and truthfully, I like them more than most human beings. This is a prime example of why! Animals  lives have value, whether they are someone's throw-aways or working dogs. They didnt ask to be born- all they have to give is love- a capacity most people do not have, because the world is always about them! Stop back peddling- you blamed me for this and now you are saying you just said it because of TOS?    As Karen would say........ POOF!

How sad. I logged in to see if Marjorie had replied to my offer and saw this. I hope Karen is happy with herself.

Marjorie, you did what you could. Don't listen to anything else.

Thanks, Jenni, etal... I just happen to feel devastated. I guess I will never be able to come to terms with losing them. Each loss hits me in the gut. I will never get used to dogs being treated like garbage and to think that it was my fault- well.. I dont know what to say or how to reconcile that, with all the heart  I put into saving them :( That really hurts. It was just uncalled for and nasty. I saw no comments offering to help from RLHAR, anywhere in the thread- just criticism. I would like to say that perhaps RLHAR should  have stepped up to do something, instead of just criticizing if he/she felt a better job could have been done. That is hypocritical, to say the least! I am not a *rescue* God, and dont care who saves them, as long as they are saved. What I wont tolerate is someone screwing up a rescue and leaving dogs in harm's way.  People like that need to get  out of rescue. Furthermore, people who charge $450 to pull a dog is not a rescuer- thats a BUSINESS and to call oneself a rescuer, doing something like that, is just delusional!

RLHAR. I have been thinking of your words,to me,  and with my background as a song writer and as someone who won honorable mention in a music contest of 1,000,000 entrants, I cannot view what you wrote in any other way but......http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Gi5F3PGd1WU

Marjorie, I still want to know where to send the money I pledged for the Terra Bella girl. Don't care that it won't be able to help her now; I know it will be used to help another dog that's in just as much danger.

Thank you :)That is so sweet!  Actually I am trying to get a 1 yr old from a so Georgia shelter that doesnt do adoptions. I happen to have forged a good relationship with people there, and 2 weeks ago they let me take a GSD from there. They only have 5 runs :( They have another 1 yr old, now,, now, that wont see the light of day unless we can spring her, and i am looking for volunteer transport for her and coming up empty handed :( It might help get her to us. Gotta get her from So Georgia to Pelzer, SC. You can paypal the money to Julie@newbeginningsrescue.com Thank you- it would really help! :) We could also put it towards the 5 CA GSDS we had transported to us so they wouldnt die. (Ca is nuts with the amount of GSDS they are euthanizing :( )Not everyone honored their pledges :(

by hexe on 16 February 2013 - 02:02

Done.  I added a bit to cover the paypal fees so you'd have the full amount of the pledge.

Marjorie, glad to see you didn't let ignorance win. These dogs need you.
I have a woman that is getting one of my pups, that just so happens to do dog transport.
She also aids with the rescue transports. She only lives one town awway.
Let me talk to her and find out her scheduale and maybe we can arrange a ride.
Hell, I'll knock some money off the pup price to get a ride here or there.
I am going to put a thread up with pics of my pups.I am going to give all the money for the sale of one pup, (800-1000) to Shelley to help with her rescue,
I will PM you after I talk to transport.
AND, Please do not let them words get to you for even one more second. You are an Angel and a Godsend to too many dogs to let anyone make you feel badly.
