This scheme clearly improves the prospects for offspring from accredited parents, that is the absolute maximum that can be reasonably expected.
NO offspring from accredited parents can be accredited themselves until they reach the age of 18 months, and they themselves meet the full requirements of the scheme.

I hope most people, after reading the above posts, will now realise why this proposed Scheme is named:
The GSD Breed Council "Accredited GSD Scheme"
Each DOG that meets the requirements of the scheme is CREDITED with that achievement by the Breed Council
It is a "measure" of what the DOG has achieved under this "accredited GSD scheme"
if you consider this scheme is for the actual GSD
and
the Kennel Club Scheme is for the BREEDER
one could argue they can fit together
HOWEVER
I would argue that the "requirements" of the "accredited GSD scheme" does not rely on rare VISITS to breeders
FACTS: people are becoming Kennel Club "accredited breeders"
who
1) HAVE NOT EVEN BRED A LITTER
2) WHO BREED PEDIGREE DOGS purposely "OUTSIDE OF THE KC BREED STANDARD"
such as white GSD.
3) who may only have "some" of their "breeding stock" fulfilling the requirements.
(they may not register litters from dogs NOT meeting the requirements,
or they may register them under a friends or relatives name.)
THE KENNEL CLUB WILL NOT SPEND THE MONEY TO CHECK THEIR SCHEME MEMBERS SATISFACTORILY
5000 accredited breeders paying £15 per year = £75,000 per year to the KC
now you know what "attracts" the Kennel Club to retain their seriously FLAWED scheme.
The proposed BC accredited GSD scheme offers
significant, measurable and sustainable benefits to our GSD breed, Breed Clubs, and the Breed Council.
PLEASE GIVE IT YOUR FULLEST SUPPORT

WHAT IS THE POINT OF WAITING FOR THE TOP 4 KENNELS !!!!
SURELY IF THIS IS PUSHED FORWARD AS IT SHOULD BE BY THE BREED CLUBS AND THE BREED COUNCIL
IT WILL BE A SUCCESS.
AND THINK ABOUT IT THEY ARE ONLY 4 KENNELS !!!
