Is there a way to get my GSD's pedigree uploaded if both his Sire and Dam aren't registered here?

Yes, register you dog and then enter the sire and dam.

I did that with my boys AKC book and reg number but it doesn't pull anything up. I also put in the sire and dam names and I guess they aren't in the system. I know 2 generations back are definitely in here.

You do not have to own a dog to enter it into PDB. You just have to provide the correct information. Think about it .........how did all the early dogs get entered into PDB. Surely their owners are'nt still alive. When a member enters a dog in PDB, it does not mean that they are the owners of the dog....they are just the owner of the dog's PDB pedigree,
